Louis Turfrey has a look at the new release from Warner Bro’s Animation and gives his heartfelt opinion.

So, they finally did it. They teamed up Batman, Nightwing and Harley Quinn in a new animation and what an awesome breath of fresh air.

Starring the voice talents of Kevin Conroy, Melissa Rauch, Loren Lester, Paget Brewster and Kevin Michael Richardson; this animation is adult themed and lighthearted at the same time. Recommended for teenagers for reasons that will become clear when you see it. Not because there are any swear words but because the content deals with some, ‘ahem’, adult themes at times.

Harley prepares to take advantage of Nightwig, (or is it Nightwing).

This is a brief look into a world where Batman, whether he likes it or not, enlists the help of a newly reformed Harley Quinn to track down Poisen Ivy, (Brewster), and the Floronic Man, (Richardson). Full of the sort of mayhem that only Harley Quinn can cause, this adventure proves just what a hit this character can be when she tries her best to be the good guy, (or girl). It’s nice to see the

The animation is classic Batman Animated Series, which is never a bad thing, and is helped along the way by a script that drops more than a few nods back to the 1966 TV series. It’s nice to see Conroy back as Batman and Rauch doing her best Harley voice – and who knew the girl could sing?

Without giving too much away, there are some genuinely funny moments, some really awkward moments, (for Nightwing), and some completely hilarious diversions from the plot that make you go “wow” then make you think “what!?”.

Some may not like the more wacky sides to this animation, but there is a serious underlying theme here that drives the plot. It shows you how far one person is prepared to go in order to save the planet and at the same time reminds us that this isn’t a situation that we can easily dismiss.

As a fan of the characters I have to add this to my collection and I hope that you will all enjoy it as much as I have.

P.S. Wait for the additional scenes in the end credits…
